Sydney Medical Service provides afterhours services to patients throughout the entire Sydney Metropolitan region.
They are able to provide a home visit or a telehealth consultation by a qualified general practitioner from 6 PM to 8 AM weekdays, 12 PM onwards on Saturdays and 24 hours on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Urgent care is for all those things that need urgent medical attention but aren’t life-threatening, and you don’t need to go to the emergency department. Urgent Care Services aren’t like your usual GP and they’re not emergency departments.
What do Urgent Care Services Treat?
Urgent Care Service centres provide medical care for:
- Suspected fractures, sprains and dislocations
- Wound management and cuts requiring stitches
- Bites
- Minor burns
- Removal of foreign objects from skin, eyes and ears

In Western Sydney there are two types of urgent care services available: NSW Health Urgent Care Services and Medicare Urgent Care Clinics. These clinics provide FREE/ BULKBILLED services.
