APPOINTMENTS
Kindly ring 02 9626 6300 for an appointment
If you require a longer appointment please inform the reception staff at the time of booking so that your needs can be accommodated.
Urgent medical problems will be dealt with promptly. Due to the nature of general practice and the urgent and unforeseen demands that arise sometimes your scheduled appointment will be delayed due to more urgent cases.
Whilst we do encourage appointments to be made as it makes it easier for both doctors and admin staff, we will still do our best to accommodate walk in patients for short appointments. If you are unable to make an appointment with your regular doctor at our practice but still need a quick short appointment, you can still be accommodated by one of the other available doctors. This ensures that we still provide you with comprehensive health care through a team of doctors that are familiar with your health care needs.
You can contact your doctor by ringing during surgery hours. All calls will be triaged by front desk staff and all Emergency calls will always be put straight through to the DR or to the Practice nurse as appropriate.
Any routine calls will be transferred to the Dr only if the doctor can take the call.
AFTER-HOURS
When the surgery is closed, please ring 87246300. Your call will be answered by after hour deputising service and a doctor will contact you as earliest. Home visit will be made if necessary.
STANDARD CONSULTATIONS
This is a bulk billing practice for all valid Medicare card holders. A time-based consultation fee is charged only from those who are not eligible for Medicare benefits.
Please call the practice to find out more details about the fees. It is also advised to get the insurance forms filled at the end of each consultation to avoid unnecessary charges later.
Overseas students with a valid Medibank and AHM overseas cover will not be charged. Overseas students with other insurance cover will be charged without any gap fees.
Test results can be obtained in a scheduled consultation. Referrals to specialists must be made during a consultation and will not be provided from a phone request. In unavoidable circumstances Doctors may provide repeat referrals or scripts; however this is done at the doctor’s discretion and may attract a fee.
WORK COVER CONSULTATIONS
All work cover consultations are charged from the patient according to the time spent with the doctor until the claim is accepted by the Insurance and a claim number is issued. A fee of $80 is charged from the patient for the initial work cover consultation.

Quakers Hill Family Practice recognises that email is one of the most prevalent and convenient forms of communication; however, we are also cognizant of the risks associated with transmitting information via email.
Please note that our email service is not encrypted, and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of our email communications. There is a risk that emails and/or attachments could be read by someone other than the intended recipient (for example, as a result of widespread hacking, or because someone accesses your email account). For this reason, we discourage health providers from sending emails to us with personal information about patients, and we discourage patients from sending emails to us with their own personal information.
However, in certain circumstances, we may agree to email you with a response to a query and/or with information or documentation that you have requested which does include your health information, provided that you have confirmed that you have considered and accepted the risks associated with email communications. Before we do so, we will need to verify your identity and your email address. We may also require you to email us confirming that you have considered and accepted the risks associated with email communications, or we may send you a link which is password protected.
We ask that other health practitioners do not email us with personal information about mutual patients (unless you have the patient’s express consent). We prefer to receive correspondence via secure messaging, Healthlink. Our EDI is: quakehfp.
Our practice email account for patients and stakeholders for non-urgent communication with our practice is admin@qhfp.com.au.
The practice email is not closely monitored and patients should not use email to contact the practice in an emergency and should only be used only when specifically directed by practice team member/s. If you wish to get in touch with the practice, please do so by calling us at 9626 -6300. .
